Toilet & Plumbing Problems
If your toilet isn't flushing properly or the drains in your rental have clogged, do your best to resolve the problem before contacting us. Use the information below to get started.
You can resolve most toilet problems with a plunger. Simply push the plunger over the drainage hole in the bottom of the toilet and pump vigorously to move the blockage through the system.
Be careful not to flush your toilet while working to dislodge anything stuck; this could cause the basin to overflow.
Most simple drain clogs can also be cleared with a plunger. Again, put the plunger over the drain and pump to create suction in the pipe.
Please be cautious when using drain cleaning chemicals that could potentially damage your plumbing system.
Most electrical outages are due to grid problems in your local area. To learn if a temporary outage is impacting your home, call your utility provider for more information.
If you overload the circuit in your rental property, you may trip the circuit breaker. You can reset the breaker by locating the box and making sure the lever is in the ON position.
Be sure to identify what overloaded the circuit to avoid future problems of this nature.
Hot Water Issues
Have you lost hot water access? Most rental properties have a water heater that provides the unit with a constant supply of hot water. Check your tank settings to make sure that nothing has been accidentally modified.
If you continue to have issues, you can attempt to reset the tank. If you do this, please wait 15 to 20 minutes before checking the temperature of the water again.
Heat and A/C Problems
If you lose heat or air conditioning in your rental property, check the settings on your central thermostat. It's easy to accidentally change the temperature controls or put your HVAC system in vacation mode.
If after verifying that all settings are accurate the problem remains, contact us for additional assistance.
